PURPOSE:To execute curve fitting simplifying its processing process by allowing a curve control device for trying the curve fitting of sequence-of-points data to change a curve range based upon the desided result of a fitting deciding device. CONSTITUTION:The point sequence data of picture elements obtained by binarization, thinning or the like are inputted from a point sequence input device 1 to the curve fitting device. Communication is executed between a curve dividing point control device 21 and a fitting deciding device 22 to obtain curve data. Namely, the device 22 received a 'fitting request' from the device 21 to the sequence of points whose start and end points are determined, tries the fitting of a Bezier curve to the sequence of points, decides the success and fail of the fitting, and returns the decided result as 'fitting response'. In the case of success, two control points are calculated and outputted. |
