PURPOSE: To establish an effective processing by installing a plurality of grinding wheels on a dolly movable, raising and lowering them periodically between the processing position and a stop position either individually or group by group, and performing the wash of the grinding surface of each grinding wheel when it lies in the stop position. CONSTITUTION: Processing units are installed on both sides of a dolly 2, and a support 4 is formed movably in the vertical direction through a hydraulic cylinder 6 and a swing link 5. Each processing unit is fitted with a number of grinding wheels 7 through tool holders 9. During the dolly 2 being in operation, the holders 9 are lowered by a plunger 15 of a hydraulic unit 11 through a rubber buffer 13, and the unit 11 is slid sideways by the cylinder 6 through a lateral guide 10. The grinding wheels 7 are lifted and lowered alternately or group by group, and the processing surface of each wheel 7 lifted is washed with flush water. This ensures effective processing. |
