This procedure relates to the manufacturing of a windscreen wiper provided with its flexible wiping edge, the holder being of the kind formed by a hard extrusion of a synthetic substance having a basically U- or C-shaped cross-section in which the edges of the slot form means for securing the bead (3'a) of the flexible wiping edge (3). This procedure consists in making the holders out of an extrusion (2) having the desired cross-section, in cutting a section of this extrusion to the length of holder to be replaced, in constructing at least one end of the holder to form a member (5)for securing the wiping edge (3) and a member (5) for securing the holder in the blade arm, in cutting the wiping edge (1), in assembling it in the holder, in engaging this holder in the callipers or bridges of the blade arm and in positioning, as a minimum, the means (5) for securing the holder against translational movements with respect to the blade arm. <IMAGE> |
