<p>The present invention relates to a trailer or semitrailer platform consisting of an assembly of longitudinal members and cross members and carrying at its front end a kingpin (18) capable of cooperating with the coupling turntable of a tractor unit. The kingpin is joined to a pre-assembled structure (6) which fits between the two side members (1, 2) of the platform. In one particular embodiment, the pre-assembled structure forms a hollow box structure reinforced by longitudinal members (20, 21).
