A tundish changing apparatus in a continuous casting installation. Two tundish transport trucks (5A,5B) move in alternate relation between a pouring position (1) and a tundish preheating position (11). A swivel table (9) is disposed at the forward end of a transport rail (6) which extends laterally from the pouring station (1) for guiding the tundish transport track (5A,5B) for momement thereon. Provided on the swivel table (9) are a pair of swivel rails (10A,10B) such that one of the rails (10A,10B) is conncted to the travel rail (6) and the other is positioned in corresponding relation to a tundish preheating device (11). When the swivel table (9) turns with the tundish transport trucks (5A,5B) mounted on corresponding swivel (10A,10B) rails, a preheated tundish (4A,4B) is delivered to the pouring position (1) and a used tundish (4A,4B) is subjected to repair and preheating so as to be ready for a next tundish changing operation. <IMAGE>
