摘要

The apparatus depositing between a s-interface channel unit and a line interface unit (LIV) controls the channel distribution, condenses 8-B channels into 5B channels, and divides the line side D- channel. The transmission rate is changed from 2.048kbps to 400 kbps in the apparatus. The apparatus includes a B-channel time slot assigning unit (5) for assigning the B-channel time slot, a channel band rate changing unit (6) for changing the band rate from 2.048kbps to 400kbps, a B- channel dividing and inserting unit (7) for extracting and transmitting the B- channel data form data transmitted from exgternal lines, to the band rate changing unit (6) and for inserting the B-channel data into the external lines.
