PURPOSE:To improve snow performance, edge effect and block rigidity in a studless tire by forming a center block out of unit bodies with lkonger axial vector edges and circumferential sipes and a side block out of unit bodies with longer circumferential vector edges and circumferential sipe. CONSTITUTION:A center block 5 is formed into an aggregate where unit bodies 11 - 13 having vector edges 9, 10 which are longer in the axial direction of a tire and shorter in the circumferential direction and sipes 7 in the axial direction are arranged in parallel through thin grooves 14. On the other hand, a side block 6 is formed into an aggregate where unit bodies 17 - 20 having vector edges 15, 16 which are longer in the circumferential direction of a tire 1 and shorter in the axial direction and sipes 8 in the circumferential direction are arranged in parallel through thin grooves 21. The sipes 7, 8 are made shallower than the thin grooves 14, 21. It is thus possible to improve edge effect, block rigidity and snow performance. |
