The illuminator comprises photovoltaic cells (1) generating electricity for storage in an accumulator (5) during the day. A photoelectric cell (4) transmits the electricity, at night only, to the lamps (3) of the gravestone (8). An electric circuit (2) and a light radiation panel (7) also make up the installation.
