A method of purifying an immunogenic outer membrane protein of H. flu. The steps comprising, formation of an insoluble fraction comprising the outer membrane protein associated with the peptidoglycan from the H. flu; digesting contaminated RNA from the insoluble fraction; separating the outer membrane protein from the insoluble fraction into the supernatant; and concentrating the solubilized outer membrane protein.
