PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain an ion exchange resin excellent in uranium adsorbing capacity, by preparing a resin from a compound obtained by introducing a phosphonic acid into the amino group of a compound having a specific phenolic hydroxyl group. CONSTITUTION:As a part of phenols constituting a phenol/aldehyde resin having a crosslinking structure, a compound having a phenolic hydroxyl group and a primary and/or secondary alkylamino group in the same molecule thereof represented by general formula I (wherein n is an integer of 1-20), for example, salicylamine, thiramine or P-hydroxybenzylamine is used. As aldehydes, formaldehyde, benzaldehyde, frufral or the like are used alone or in combination. Both of them form a chelating ion exchange resin by condensation reaction. |
