PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately read out a mail having required contents by constituting a mail control system so that a received mail can be arranged and registered in accordance with a user's mail contents sorting method and constituting the tree of mails. CONSTITUTION:In a mail box 4 for a terminal 2 receiving a mail, a control device 6 analyzes the receiving mail and refers to a mail division ID then transmits a control table retrieving instruction to a mail division ID data base 11 in order to retrieve a mail division ID control table corresponding to a mail division ID 'ABC' stored in a storage device 8. A mail division ID data base 10 received the instruction refers a mail division ID list in the key table 11 corresponding to the terminal 2 by pointers to the list, successively retrieves the pointers of the main division ID control tables stored in the storage device 8 which are specified by the list, compares the contents of the main division ID area in the mail division ID control table with the 'ABC', and specifies an objective mail division ID control table. |
