PURPOSE:To simply use an ice heat accumulator also for an existing vessel body at a low cost by providing a plurality of cold accumulators in the vessel body filled with a nonfreezing liquid, filling weights and water in the cold accumulators and making the cold accumulators float in substantially vertical attitudes. CONSTITUTION:A nonfreezing liquid 2 composed of, for example, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, calcium chloride and the like is filled in a vessel body 1 having an upper manhole 1a as an upper space portion 1b with a suitable volume is left. A plurality of cold accumulators 3 are thrown into the vessel body 1 and the cold accumulators 3 float in substantially vertical attitudes with their upper portions projected from the liquid surface 2a of the nonfreezing liquid 2. Since buoyancy acts on the whole cold accumulators, the uniform distribution of the nonfreezing liquid is secured without being crushed by gravity. Further, since the cooled nonfreezing liquid rises while circulating between the cold accumulators supplied from the lower portion of the vessel body, water in the cold accumulators is frozen from the lower portions. At this time, the air in the cold accumulators is compressed and the expansion of the volume of the air is absorbed. |
