PURPOSE: To directly produce a member having a cavity part from powder by partially forming a core more voluminous than the cavity part before pressing the core depending on the outer face of the cavity during pressing to make a brittle material possible to be pressed in a sheath. CONSTITUTION: A powder material is filled in a sheath 1 having a core specifying a cavity part. The core 2 has a base part 3 and a core 4. The core 2 is formed more voluminous than the cavity part before pressing and is partially formed depending on the outer face of the cavity during the pressing. The sheath 1 is deformed by pressing and the core 2' is deformed as well. A contracted cone 4' moves a remaining material downward to produce a bulge 6 to the lower part of a base part 3. By cutting off the cone 4' above the base part 3 along a line 7, the cone 4' is released. After the sheath 1' is released, by removing a plug 5 by lathing or the like, a molten pool (crucible, etc.), having an annular bulge as shown by a line 8 is obtained. |
