<p>PURPOSE:To recover Ni and Co with high purity by extracting Ni and Co in an aq. soln. by an electrolytic method from alloy scraps contg. Ni and Co, and further extracting the same with org. materials then reverse extracting these with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid. CONSTITUTION:Scraps of alloys contg. Ni and Co such as special steel, super alloys, magnetic alloys and the like as anode are subjected to liquid making electrolysis in aq. sulfuric acid soln. at <=2A/dm<2> cathode current density, whereby Ni and Co are eluted as nickel sulfate and cobalt sulfate without electrodeposition on cathode. This sulfuric acid soln. is controlled of pH with an alkali, and is subjected to a liquid washing treatment, whereby Fe, Al, Cr, etc. are settled off as hydroxide without allowing the Ni and Co to settle. Next, the Ni and Co are shifted to an org. phase by using liquid org. materials having hydrogen atoms exchangeable with metallic ions as an extracting agent. These are reverse-extracted with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid to extract Ni and Co as chloride and sulfate, and these as electrolyte are electrolytically treated, whereby the Ni and Co are recovered with high purity.</p> |
