PURPOSE:To uniformalize the rib height of vertically checkered plate without differing the width of caliber or the like by rolling with rolling rolls with such a shape of crown that the difference of the ratio crown of plate on the inlet side and outlet side of the final stand is decreased. CONSTITUTION:The plate crown that is generated on a material to be rolled in front of the final stand is measured or calculated and, using rolling rolls of which the ratio crown Cr/H is made equal to that plate crown, the rib height of plate which is rolled with the caliber rolls of the final stand is fixed. That is, by fixing the draft in the width direction of the final stand which is provided with the caliber rolls, the vertically checkered plate with uniform height of rib can be rolled. |
