Device for making incisions on the top of a loaf of bread before cooking it. The invention relates to a device making it possible to make, without the risk of injuries, whilst at the same time respecting hygiene, incisions on the top of a loaf of bread before cooking it to allow good appearance for sales. It consists of a handle provided with a cutting blade and of a removable blade guard. It operates like a knife; in effect, the user takes hold of the handle in one of his hands, removes the blade guard, drives the cutting blade into the bread, and pulls on the handle to obtain an incision. The device according to the invention is indispensable for bakers for making incisions in their loaves.
