PURPOSE:To obtain a disaster-preventive lighting device sure to start and light a discharge lamp without making a high-frequency generation device large-sized and high-priced, by providing a charging control device suppressing charging from the high-frequency generation device to a battery at the time of starting the discharge lamp. CONSTITUTION:When normal power supply 5 is closed, a high-frequency generation device 1 outputs high frequency power. Accordingly, the high-frequency power is supplied to a discharge lamp 6 through an output winding 3b. On the other hand, other high-frequency power is generated also in an output winding 3c, however, since at this time a transistor 22 is turned OFF, a timer 18 of a charging control device 16 cannot turn a transistor 17 ON. Since therefore no charging current is supplied to a battery 7, and even when the discharge lamp 6 demands a larger amount of power than at the normal lighting time at its starting time, the high-frequency generation device 1 can supply power so as to make the starting possible. Thus, no overload is generated to the high- frequency generation device so as to start and light the discharge lamp while making the device small-sized and low-priced. |
