PURPOSE:To allow the geometric transforming device to flexibly and rapidly handle an arbitrary complex or specific geometric transformation by providing the transforming unit with an address table holding means, an image processing for executing address transformation based upon an address table, then executing geometric transformation, and the like. CONSTITUTION:An address table 3 corresponding to geometric transformation is previously stored in an address table holding means 8, and when image data are inputted, the image data are stored in the means 8 by an image input means 5. On the other hand, an address table referring means 7 refers the address table 3 corresponding to an input image 12 to be accessed from the means 8 and sends the referred result to an image processing means 6. The means 6 successively inputs the image data from the means 8 and executes the geometric transformation of the address of the image data based upon the address table 3 referred by the means 7. The transformed result is read out by an image output means 11 to obtain an output image 22. Consequently, the geometric transforming unit can flexibly and rapidly handle an arbitrary complex or specific geometric transformation. |
