PURPOSE:To prevent the entering of dust into a gas diffusion hole and to prevent the degradation in output by long-term use by providing a porous partition wall having a spacing in the inside in the gaseous sample intake port of the gas diffusion hole. CONSTITUTION:This sensor has an ion conductor 10 formed of a thin film consisting of a solid electrolyte, a porous cathode electrode 11 which generates diffusion rate determination, an anode electrode 12, a ceramics cap 13 having the gas diffusion hole 13A provided on the electrode 11 side, and the partition wall 14 of an air permeable porous sintered body which covers the diffusion port 13A serving as the sample intake port and has a space 15 between the cap 13 and the wall. The partition wall 14 removes the dust contained in the sample taken into the sensor and the space 15 assures the wide gaseous sample intake range so that the quantity of the gaseous sample taken in from the gas diffusion hole 13A is not affected even if the hole of the partition wall 14 is partly clogged by the dust. By this method, the output is maintained stably at all times even in long-term use. |
