The wall bushing gland for a cable (1) is characterised in that it has a seal (11) compressed around a stripped portion (5) of the cable, this portion having a shorter length than that of the seal, and in that the seal (11) is a composite element (20) spiralled around the cable and formed by a metal braid (21) coated with an elastomer (22) on which it rests flush with the surface on the inner and outer faces of the turns. Application: wall bushing ensuring simultaneously watertightness and electromagnetic isolation. <IMAGE>
