The invention relates to an assembly of binding elements 3, 4 intended to retain the two boots of a skier on a sliding board such as a monoski or a snowboard. Each element 3, 4 comprises a means 10, 14 for retaining the front of the boot and a means 13, 17 for retaining the rear of the boot. The rear means are movable between a position of retention of the boot and a position of releasing the latter. They are actuated simultaneously by a principal boot-fitting (boot-putting-on) member 50. One of the front retention means also has an auxiliary boot-fitting lever 51 which makes it possible to force the engagement of the boot in its binding element when the rear retention means is in the retention position. This makes it possible to fit the two boots separately, one after the other and, moreover, to control their voluntary or accidental release in a simultaneous manner. <IMAGE>
