Dishwasher with water softener - comprising cation and anion exchangers acting during final rinse but only anion exchanger acts during preliminary wash

The dish-washing machine has a water softener that contains both a cation exchanger and an anion exchanger. Only a part of the water passes over the anion exchanger and this part is the part need for one complete rinsing comprising at least one prelimininary wash and/or clean, rinse and dry. The water for the last rinse is passed over both exchangers. The anion exchanger is lcoated downstream of the cation exchanger. The two exchangers are located in a shared container that has a connection pipe at the transition from oen exchanger to the other. That section of the container holding the anion exchanger has a by-pass line with a stop valve. ADVANTAGE - Avoids nitrate deposits on dried dishes.
