PURPOSE: To decide whether or not a received radio (station)signal is sufficiently bearable for listening to by generating a test output signal, in response to an intensity output signal and a frequency output signal regarding the frequency of a received signal. CONSTITUTION: A stop-on-station(SOS) circuit 120 generates a signal indicating whether or not a received candidate radio frequency signal at the input of an RF amplifier 101 is sufficiently allowable to listen to at an output coupled with a conductor 128. When the received radio frequency signal is allowable, a microprocessor 119 controls proper parts of an FM/AM receiver 100, so that they are locked to the received signal. When it is not allowed, the microprocessor 119 rejects the specific received signal and controls the proper parts of the AM/FM receiver 100 so as to select another radio frequency signal. This radio frequency signal is tested continuously by the SOS circuit 120. Consequently, it is decided whether or not the received signal can be listened to. |
