PURPOSE: To provide information on output distortion that does not depend on the maximum deflection of power voltage Vcc, operational frequency (in an operation range of an audio device) and an electric signal in an output by detecting inequilibrium between an input and an output on the last stage of an audio device. CONSTITUTION: An output stage is represented by an optional amplifier 3, receives an input signal VIN and generates a signal VOUT. This device is provided with comparators 5 and 6 that receive signals VREF and V-in inputs, that are acquired at a middle point between variable power dividers consisting of resistors R3 and R4 which are serially connected between the input of the output stage and the ground and between resistors R1 and R2 respectively. Input voltage is also given to a non-inversion input of a comparator 8, and the inverted terminal is connected to the ground. Comparators 5, 6 and 8 are organized as if they generate a distortion signal (ΔV), when the signal (V-) exceeds the signal (VREF) from the viewpoint of the absolute value. A variable power divider 4 enables setting distortion that needs intervention of the device and a relatedΔV.
