<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an image carrier from being damaged at the time of processing a jam by providing a guide member in a side of the image carrier selectably between the first position for guiding a transcription material to the side of the image carrier and the second position for guiding the transcription material in a direction of detaching it from the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:When a paper jam is generated in a transcription material conveying system, a guide member (lower guide) 12 in one side of a transcription means and a transcription material guide device is detached from a guide member (upper guide) 15 in a side of an image carrier. Further the guide member 15 in the side of the image carrier is selected from the first position at the time of transcription to the second position with a transcription material detached from the image carrier 1. Thus by guiding the transcription material in a direction of separating from the image carrier 1, the transcription material is detached from the image carrier 1 and prevented from colliding against or winding on the image carrier 1.</p> |
