A method for boring flue holes through a lining which has been done masonry work of fireproof bricks in a converter for producing gas blowing channels, so-called flue holes. The inclinedly directed flue holes are bored through the lining bricks (3) with a rotatable bore brace (16) on the front part of which are mounted bits (15) as ring-like drill head. The bits are cut a ring-like opening through the lining and the remaining center part is removed out of the hole. |
