PURPOSE:To localize an acoustic image in front in a position not equally distant from left and right sound sources and reproduce it by delaying one audio signal between a left and a right channels so as to cause prescribed phase difference in a prescribed band. CONSTITUTION:The audio signal Lch between the audio signals of left and the right channels Lch, Rch is supplied to delay circuits 11 to 13, and besides, the audio signal Rch is supplied to the delay circuits 14, 15 and an adder 22. Then, the delay time tau1 of the delay circuit 11 is set so that the audio signals Lch, Rch are given time difference to make phase difference into 180 degree in the intermediate band of, for instance, 250 to 800Hz. By delaying one of the audio signal in this way, and simultaneously, causing the prescribed phase difference in the prescribed band, even in the case of listening in the position not equally distant from the left and the right sound sources like in a compartment, the acoustic image can be localized in front. |
