A doctor blade and doctor blade device for applying free-flowing substances on flat substrates comprises a doctor blade profiled rod (2) and a doctor blade element (4-28-30-29). Associated with the doctor blade (4-28-30-29) is a magnetic device (8) which generates a magnetic field the spatial arrangement, shape and strength of which determine the local position of the doctor blade (4-28-30-29). The angular position of the doctor blade (4-28-30-29) is also adjusted by means of this magnetically determined and fixed local position and by parts of the device. The doctor blade (4-28-30-29) has limited freedom of movement. |
