A control module (17) including a decoder of signals from an infrared remote control unit (18) operates a switch (2) selecting either the received colour TV signal (FBAS sub HF) or its counterpart (FBAS sub AV) supplied by a SCART socket (3). A second switch (4) connects either the preselected signal or the chrominance signal (C sub AV) from a video recorder (12) to a chrominance channel (6) and a colour carrier trap (5). Either the remaining signal (BAS) or the amplified (15) recording (BAS sub AV) is switched (7) to a luminance channel (8) and sync separator (9).
