A communications device for the transparent transfer of information between components via an internal parallel or serial interface (B, L) with receiver stores on both component sides contains a central unit (ZE) which processes and validates the information. The central unit can be connected via a parallel controlled processor bus (B) to a connector unit (TG) implemented using transputers (T1...). Measurement modules (MM) contg. further transputers (TM) are matched to the transfer mode and controlled by the connector unit via a serial controlled bus (L).
