The invention describes a transporting roller for an oven used for treatment of heated products. The roller has a transporting surface (1) which consists of a raised screw flight running spirally around the body. The pitch of the spiral is smaller in the end sections than in the centre. The roller is essentially cylindrical and has a transporting surface (1)which in the end areas is cylindrical and in the central section consists of a raised screw flight. USE/ADVANTAGE - The roller conveys products through an oven, has simple construction, long life and prevents damage to the product.
