A measurement transducer for determining geometric processing data of prismatic shapes is a pin extended at the upper end by a concentrically inserted glass fibre coated in black at both ends. The transducer is through illuminated and is guided by hand along the contours to be measured whilst the position of the illuminated fibre piece is determined by the optical receiver. The measured positions are evaluated by a computer. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use with prismatic shapes with possibility of specifying subsequent tool alignment. Contour data and axial alignment data can be acquired in single procedure.
