PURPOSE:To constitute the device so that an exact clamp is always executed and a satisfactory video signal is obtained by deforming a clamp waveform so as to be inoperable in a sampling period. CONSTITUTION:In the image pickup device which forms a video signal by sampling (switches 2, 4, 6) an output signal from a solid-state image pickup element 1, and also, clamps (switch 13) and fetches a prescribed level of this formed video signal, a clamp waveform (terminal 21) for executing a clamp is deformed (AND circuit 22) so as to become inoperable in a period containing a sampling pulse (terminals 23, 26) for executing the sampling. In such a way, due to a fact that the clamp waveform is deformed so as to become inoperable in the sampling period, the clamp can be executed by eliminating a noise component mixed in the signal, an exact clamp is always executed and a satisfactory video signal can be obtained. |
