Guide to direct fall of tree - comprises two steel webs pivoted together at one end with hydraulic jack between them
摘要
The hydraulic jack to fell trees in a desired direction consists of two steel levers pivoted together at one end with a hydraulic jack coupled between the free ends. The two levers at rest are in line with each other but as the jack is operated the two ends of the levers are gradually forced apart. The device is inserted in a saw cut in the tree on the opposite side of the trunk to the direction in which it is required to fall. USE/ADVANTAGE - As the levers open in the cut, the tree is forced to tilt and eventually fall where desired.
