Appts. has a mains transformer (20) fitted to a mounting plate (14) which lays on the base plate (2). Switches and controls (16,17) are mounted on an intermediate plate (15) fitted within the cube frame (3) on holding flanges (7) at a gap from the base plate (2), secured to upright frame members (4) at right angles to the base plate (2). Holding flanges (7) are pref. secured to the upright members (4) of the frame to lie along each of the frame end faces (8,9) and align them parallel to the base plate (2), at about two-thirds of the height of the upright members (7). Air entry grid (10) is pref. attached to one end side (9), between the upright frame members (4) at the bottom near the base plate (2). Pref. the other frame end face (8) is closed with an opening (11) near the base plate (2) for a fan mounting which can be covered by an air outlet grid, togehter with a water-cooled heat exchanger. Frame (3) is pref. constructed of right-angled angle bars, and the frame is a right-angled cube structure. ADVANTAGE - Separate components of the electric welding appts. are easily made and simply assembled into the whole unit within the housing.
