When a number of machining steps are to be defined on a portion of the material, a colour corresponding to the kind of machining designated by the latest machining step is displayed on a screen. Thus, even when the machining for the same material is defined for several portions, the kind of machining designated for the portion can be discriminated depending upon the colour displayed on each of the portions.
