PURPOSE:To prevent a customer from being kept waiting by starting supplement to a storage box classified by the kind of money in response to no request for next transaction within a prescribed time after the finish of transaction. CONSTITUTION:A ten thousand yen bank notes storage box 68, a thousand yen bank notes storage box 69 to store bank notes and pay the stored bank note in response to a paying command and a bank note storage box 66 to store supplementary bank notes are provided, and the bank notes are supplemented from the supplementary bank note storage box 66 according to the quantity of the bank notes in the ten-thousand yen bank note and the thousand yen bank note storage boxes 68, 69. Further, in response to a fact that there is no request for the next transaction within the prescribed time after the finish of the transaction, the supplement is started. Thus, in an automated teller machine, the supplementing operation of the bank note can be executed without keeping the customer waiting. |
