PURPOSE:To realize a resuming function even when CPU operates in any operation mode by setting CPU in the prescribed operation mode for saving system information. CONSTITUTION:When a power switch 9 is depressed for disconnecting a power source 5, a power controller 4 generates a mask impossible hardware interruption (NM1) for CPU 2 through NMI generation hardware 7, and CPU 2 temporarily stops a program in the middle of execution and starts an NMI processing program. The operation mode of CPU 2 is discriminated at the head of the NMI processing program, and the status of the operation mode is preserved in a memory 6. Then, CPU 2 is set in the prescribed operation mode, resumption is checked and system information is saved. Thus, the resuming function can be realized even if the CPU is operating in any operation mode. |
