<p>PURPOSE:To improve tracking accuracy and facilitate the fitting of heads and to improve compatibility by storing the error of the fitting position of a head characteristic to the recording and reproducing device previously and correcting the phases of a recording and a playback signal. CONSTITUTION:The error of the fitting position of the head characteristic to the recording and reproducing device is measured previously as a time error by loading a standard tape, etc., and stored and when the phase of a signal is adjusted at the time of recording and reproduction, the stored value is used as information characteristic to the recording and reproducing device. For example, an error which is generated when playback heads A and B indicated by head height, etc., shift in fitting position is stored at the time of reproduction, an adder 14 adds the correcting signal obtained by a corrector 13 to a phase difference signal detected by a comparator 12, to correct the error of the phase difference detected by the phase comparator 12, and the output signal of the adder 14 is outputted as a tracking error signal. Consequently, the compatibility among devices is easily obtained and the accuracy of tracking in recording and reproduction is improved.</p> |
