The bung barrel has solid carrying and transport rings 1 which are shaped integrally out of the barrel shell near to the end surfaces of the barrel, and in which the horizontal lower edge 2 of the ring and the vertical inner wall 3 of the ring form the resting surfaces for the barrel grippers. Each carrying and transport ring is connected integrally to the barrel via a connection ring 4, formed from an axial extension of the cylindrical shell part of the barrel, the groove base between the connection ring and the shell part 5, rising conically towards the end region 6 of the barrel, being arranged with spacing below the horizontal resting surface of the carrying and transport ring. |
