PURPOSE:To facilitate an editing task and to ensure an easy-to-understand display by providing a state transition description storage means, a state node arrangement means, and a transition arc arrangement means to edit a state transition table and to display a state transition chart. CONSTITUTION:A state transition description storage means 101 is provided together with a state node arrangement means 102, a transition arc arrangement means 103, and a display means 104. Then a state transition table is stored, and the data nodes are arranged on the circumference of a circle to show all states described in the state transition table. Then the means 103 arranges the transition arcs showing all transitions described in the state transition table based on these transitions and the positions of all state nodes arranged by the means 102. The the obtained state transition chart is displayed via a display means 104. Thus the state transition information is edited with use of the state transition table and then displayed in the state transition chart. |
