A pressure relieving aid is in the form of a container (1) of a flexible plastics material. The perimeter of the container (1) is radio frequency welded and the interior of the container is divided into two compartments (2, 3) by means of a central barrier weld (5). A gap (6) is provided between the end of the barrier weld (5) and the adjacent perimeter (4) of the container. The communicating compartments (2, 3) are filled with a mixture of a gelling agent which provides a partly compressible gel solution. The gap (6) enables the gel solution to be displaced in a controlled manner between the compartments in the container (1) when an external pressure is applied thereto. <IMAGE> |
