A process for making baked rice pwder (I) of <100 micron size to dissolve in hot or cold water easily comprises (A) baking washed rices of 12-14% water content in rotating baking apparatus at 150-200 deg.C for 10 min. to 2% water content to give proper taste and color, grinding to 20-50 mesh size, controlling water content to 17-21% mixing 2 hrs in Hobalt mixer, (B) press- extruding at 200-400 rpm at 70-150 deg.C with screw typed barrel of extruder to have good restore to the original of evenly distributed air cells inside as 22% water content, (C) controlling water content to <10% in tunnel type dryer and grinding to 20-40 mesh size of 8-13% water content to increase shelf life, and (D) mixing with 4% sugar and packaging 12g each into a dosage. The characteristic of dissolving (I) easily in water is caused by discard the gel-forming property by extruding, so not to have aggregating or adhesive to the vessels. |
