PURPOSE:To form sharp latent images on a photosensitive drum by forming the above device in such a manner that the rays emitted from the exit port of a rotating 1st optical waveguide is emitted only from the selected exit port among the exit ports of 2nd optical waveguides which are arranged in many pieces. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber bundle (2nd optical waveguide) 4 which consists of the discrete optical waveguides 41 to 4n and are formed with incident ports in a semicircular shape is disposed to enclose the outer periphery of a rotating body 56 and the respective incident ports of the discrete optical waveguides 41 to 4n are disposed along the rotating locus of two pieces of the exit ports 1b, 1c of an optical fiber 4. As a result, the exit ports 1b, 1c and the respective incident ports are disposed to face each other. Namely, the exit light from the one exit port 1b is received by the discrete optical waveguide 41 when a light signal is made incident from the incident port 1a of the optical fiber 1, but the exit light from the other exit port 1c is not received in the discrete optical waveguides. The simultaneous receiving of two kinds of the exit light rays does not, therefore, arise. The sharp latent images are formed in this way. |
