PURPOSE:To read and write information on both surfaces of a recording medium while the recording medium is loaded by switching and transmitting the projection light of a fixed optical head as one light source to one of two movable optical heads. CONSTITUTION:An upper movable optical head 10 is fixed to the free end tip part of an upper arm 11b and a lower movable optical head 9 is fitted to the free end tip part of a lower arm 11c. Then the movable optical heads 9 and 10 are arranged on the top surface side and reverse surface side of the recording medium 4 and a rotary mirror 6 is driven to rotate to + or -45 deg. tilt angle, and consequently the projection light of the fixed optical head 5 as one light source is switched and transmitted to one of the two movable optical heads 9 and 10. Consequently, information is written on both surfaces while the recording medium is loaded without being replaced. |
