PURPOSE:To obtain images of high resolution by providing a heat insulating non- magnetic layer between a magnetic substrate and a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating non-magnetic layer 8b is formed on a magnetic substrate 8a, and a thin film layer 8c of a magnetic material is formed thereon, whereby a magnetic recording body 8 is obtained. For example, metallic oxide, Al2O3, SiO2, ZnO, or polyurethane resin of urea type of good heat resistance or a polymer blend of said resin and vinyl resin are used for the layer 8b. The magnetic latent images formed on the surface of the magnetic recording body by writing of laser light are developed by the magnetic toner supplied from a developing device. Since the non-magnetic layer has heat insulation characteristic, the dissipation of thermal energy of laser light does not occur. |
