Method and arrangement for controlling geometrically related quality characteristics of toothed wheels. The method is characterized in particular in that a rotatable measuring wheel 7 with separately arranged measuring elements 8, which are positioned in a circular arrangement and have circular-convex contact surfaces 9 for contact with opposite tooth flanks 6, is adapted, with regard to the pitch of the measuring elements 8, to the tooth pitch of the toothed wheel 1, and is made to roll against the toothed wheel 1, the essentially radial position of the measuring wheel relative to the toothed wheel 1 being detected.
