PURPOSE:To adjust the density of a recording image in accordance with the using recording paper or image to be recorded by providing a density indicating means for indicating a plurality of image densities, and a dot number changing means for changing the number of dots constituting image information in a predetermined direction of the image in accordance with the density of the image. CONSTITUTION:Indicating positions 0, I, II of a density changing switch 101 correspond to density changing switches 1, 2, 3, respectively. When the density changing switch 1 is turned ON (at the 0 position), recording data stored within the recording apparatus is recorded as it is. When the density changing switch 2 is in the ON state (at the I position), a dot pattern obtained by adding one dot in the lateral direction to the character dot pattern is formed as recording data. Similarly, when the density changing switch 3 is turned ON (at the II position), a dot pattern obtained by adding two dots in the lateral direction to the character dot pattern is formed as recording data. Moreover, the density can be adjusted in accordance with the using recording paper. |
