PURPOSE: To obtain an antibacterial composition manifesting an excellent activity to microorganism by combining gastric lysozyme of a ruminant and a specific endoglycosidase. CONSTITUTION: The composition contains (A) gastric lysozyme of a ruminant, preferably recombinant bovine lysozyme, especially a recombinant bovine lysozyme from yeast fungus, Pichia pastoris, and (B) endo-β-N- acetylglucosaminidase(endo-F, endo-D, endo-H are suitable) or endoglycopeptidedase(PNG-ase F, PNG-ase A are suitable), in the ratio of A:B=1:4-4:1. Further, formulation of a surfactant selected from among an anionic, a nonionic, a cationic, an amphoteric and a bipolar surfactant, is preferred. The composition is used for mouthwash liquid, cleaner for artificial denture, dental powder, laundry detergent, preservative, cleaner for a contact lens, liquid soap, skin cleanser, etc.
