摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the deviation from a target speed and to ensure the stable car driving by increasing the control gain when the actual speed gets deviated from the target speed more than in the case where the actual speed approximates to the target speed. CONSTITUTION:A switch flag FS is set with operation of a set switch 23, and a computer 31 performs the constant speed drive control. At this time point, the actual speed VS is stored temporarily in a target speed area in the form of a target speed VO. In a control mode the computer 31 calculates the value of the control signal which is applied to an actuating device 50 to obtain an opening amount of a throttle valve 60 which is needed to maintain the actual speed at the target level. In this case, a small change is applied to the opening amount of the valve 60 in a stable area where the variance of the drive load is reduced to maintain the constant speed of a vehicle. If the drive load increases extremely, the target opening amount of the valve 60 is changed to satisfy a specific limiter line. Thus the control gain is substantially increased to prevent the increment of difference between the actual speed of the vehicle and its target speed.
